Reviews & Testimonials
A very insightful book with a very personal and original approach: Radu and Knut focus on telling the stories of people, not event or companies. It's not a boring list of case studies, but the story of those executives made great their companies and their approach.Very interesting for seasoned professional and inspiring for the young ones.

"Our customer lead times have more than doubled….from 30 days to 75 days. We are rebuilding our supply chain from scratch."
This is a quote from the COO of one of our customers. Supply chain issues are real and need a sustainable solution now.
I highly recommend the "From Source To Sold" book by Radu Palamariu and Knut Alicke that just launched today.
The book features some of the most successful global operations and #supplychain business leaders, including my colleague Donna Warton, Microsoft CVP for Microsoft Windows + Devices Supply Chain & Sustainability.
It is a collection of leadership stories, a true compass in times of disruption, encompassing career journeys, strategies, and specific techniques in making their companies great.
Daniel Rusen
Director of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft
Amazing collection of insights by industry leaders, not only for "beginners“ but also for seasoned professionals as a means of best practice sharing.

#FromSourceToSold is a wonderful compilation of a broad bandwidth of SCM experts and their takes on leadership.
Thanks Radu Palamariu for sending me a copy. And also thanks for working with Knut Alicke for this book.
Loads of concise wisdom nuggets, a great read for supply chainers who are fans of efficient and effective learning.

Greatly appreciating the opportunity to get the inside track on all things supply chain courtesy of the many insights inside Radu Palamariu and Knut Alicke's book From Source to Sold.
As I've written in this review, to absorb the same amount of know-how and leadership experiences contained in From Source to Sold would likely a take a gargantuan amount of time and networking.
The key value proposition of From Source to Sold is thus the ability to digest these industry takeaways via a book that is both a leisurely and enjoyable read.

Love the intent of the book in:
-de-mystifying supply chain for the common person
-shared learning through storytelling from accomplished leaders and encouraging reflection as individuals and as a function
-elevating the visibility of the profession
On the last point, from a procurement standpoint I have often wondered also why so few have deemed to be C-suite potential. I have also seen many other functional leaders who were not from procurement become CPOs not out of deliberate choice but found it was more enriching than they thought - or want to admit.
For without supply chain there will be no sales

The book is a great and insightful lesson from supply chain leaders. Reading the career journey of supply chain leaders will guide the supply chain people in the industry and community. Having a global and board-level leadership mindset will help me with my career and the path I wanted to take in the supply chain. Thank you for this wonderful book and looking forward to another series.

Congratulations to the Alcott Global team on the launch of #FromSourcetoSold! In this book, Radu Palamariu and Knut Alicke uncover the key qualities that have allowed #supplychain leaders and their teams to thrive in an increasingly complex operating environment.
One of my favourite takeaways from the book so far is that curiosity and collaboration go hand in hand. Several leaders including Sandra MacQuillan, Ivanka Janssen (she/her) and Jay Lee emphasise that good leaders must stay curious and resist being drawn into a comfortable niche. Strong, diverse relationships will not only feed this curiosity, but unlock new perspectives and opportunities on a personal and organisational level.
This message deeply resonates with me, as collaboration lies at the heart of my work in partnerships and Parcel Monitor | E-Commerce Logistics Community's mission to inspire better delivery experiences for everyone. I welcome everyone to check out #fromsourcetosold for more valuable lessons on #supplychain #leadership!
